Site Review
Yeti Casino was launched in 2015, owned and operated by L&L Europe Ltd. Yeti is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority and the Swedish Gambling Authority.
Describing itself as “The Coolest Online Casino” Yeti Casino is a new site that, it is immediately apparent, does not take itself too seriously.
There is a large portion of the online casino playing world who take their gaming very seriously, and there is an abundance of sites that cater for these players, but there are also those to whom casino play is a source of fun, an entertaining hobby that is intended to make them smile, and it is these players who are clearly Yeti Casino’s target audience.
Yeti’s customer service has swiftly developed a strong reputation, with this appearing to be a casino that genuinely cares about its players, something that makes an online casino instantly more enticing.
This is all a great start, but that’s all it is, in order for Yeti casino to be competitive in this difficult industry, it needs to show enough to challenge even the most established sites, and that’s no easy task.
Design and theme
Yeti Casino looks totally charming, it has quite a simple design to it, the concept is wintery, with a yeti mascot who, for the sake of entertaining juxtaposition (and a good joke to boot) can be found chilling out in a hammock on a sandy beach in the banner, as part of artwork based on NetEnt’s modern classic, Aloha! Cluster Pays.
Apart from the Yeti and the logo, the concept is more alluded to with a blue background, which stops the concept from taking away from ease of use, which is something a few sites could learn from!
As if often the case with new sites, there are thumbnails on the homepage that offer quick access to some of the most popular games that the Yeti Casino site has to offer, which helps with navigation.
The lack of tabs giving access to game types is a bit of a problem, but there is a search bar and the game categories are all present on the homepage, with the thumbnails separated by category, Yeti Casino would benefit from adding a couple of extra ways to search through.
That’s not the biggest issue, however, and all in all, this is a great looking site.
Games
Up to this point, Yeti Casino has seemed like it could hold its own in the online casino market, but games are what really matters, and it is there that Yeti starts to lose its way.
I wouldn’t be fair to say there are no games that will be of interest to players here because those with all levels of experience will find something to entertain them, but with titles only coming from Amatic Industries, Microgaming, and NetEnt, there are so many other sites that will offer more, that it’s difficult to see why anyone would choose to play at Yeti Casino unless they were brand-new to the online casino world.
Yeti Casino simply doesn’t offer enough games, and the games it offers are not from a wide enough array of software providers, but this is a problem that is rectifiable.
Yeti Casino is a new site, and as we have seen with many of its predecessors, new sites sometimes take a while to build up a decent games portfolio, if Yeti Casino does this, and in the near future is offering titles from ten plus developers, this could be a genuinely excellent site.
