“People like Zombies, and people like the Circus” there, we can only assume, ended the meeting at Relax Gaming HQ, with the up and coming developer’s newest release, Zombie Circus, looking to capitalise on combining two popular slot themes into one unique title. This isn’t a bad way of thinking, and cements Relax Gaming’s growing reputation as a developer that will think outside the box, but has it paid off here?
About the slot
With five reels and 10 paylines, Zombie Circus is playable from 10p to £100 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. The design is attractive enough, but more definitely could’ve been done. The stalls and tents in the background set the scene well enough, but the use of the 10, J, Q K, and A filler symbols as the lower values on the reels is a shame, especially considering the range of image options provided by the theme. The reels also contain four zombified circus performer, with the blood spattered woman being the most lucrative, paying out 40x your stake. The most valuable symbol of all is the wild, which along with carrying out its usual duties, will also pay 50x your bet if you fill a payline.
Gameplay
There is only one feature here, and it’s a Free Spins feature, but far from a traditional one.Land three, four, or five scatters for two, three, or four picks in the Zombie Wave feature. Here, you pick from five zombies, each offering a number of free spins, after the first pick, any additional will select a symbol to turn wild. This means as well as numerous free spins, you could also get up to three additional wild symbols, and the ability to re-trigger the Zombie Wave during the feature helps too.It may not look as good as it could, but Zombie Circus makes up for that with its gameplay!
