InterCasino and Vera & John Casino are to leave the UK market, as of today, no more UK players will be accepted at either casino.

Players & Affiliates Notified By Email

An email was posted to players at both casinos, which read,“ We are sorry to announce that Vera & John and InterCasino will cease to operate in the UK market as of the 3rd September 2019. In addition, please be advised that as of today (5th August 2019) we have ceased to accept new customers and the registration form has been disabled.”A similar email was also sent to all affiliate marketing partners, assuring all commissions generated up until the date of closure will be paid as usual, with no further activity and payments being made after the closure date.

Strict UK Regulations

Former Jackpotjoy owner Intertain Group, acquired both brands back in 2014 and InterCasino is said to be one of the longest running casinos serving its players since 1998.There’s widespread speculation as to why these two well established brands are closing in the UK. The growing concensus is, fines and compliance regulations being enforced by the UK Gambling Commission are forcing brands out of the UK. Over the last year, the regulator has handed out colossal fines, with Ladbrokes Coral being hit with a huge penalty of £5.9M last week. Its fair to say Vera & John and InterCasino will be sadly missed by their loyal UK players.
