Play’n GO seems to have a bit of a thing for scary monster types at the moment. Following the success of Happy Halloween and Eye of the Kraken, the developer has released Rage to Riches across a range of mobile casinos.
Rampaging monsters
Featuring characters such as a Godzilla-like giant reptile and, of course, the obligatory petrified blonde, this game has five reels and 20 paylines. Wins are made as the monsters rampage around the city tearing up the buildings.
How the game works
One of the first things you’ll notice about Rage to Riches is that the reels don’t so much spin as get dumped on the screen. As the monsters storm around the city parts of ruined buildings fall to the ground. These contain the symbols. The second thing you’ll notice is that when you land a win, the symbols used to create that combination will blow up and be replaced with new symbols. This effectively gives players a second chance to win.
The aforementioned blonde, who had been drying her hair by the window when all hell broke loose, acts as the scatter symbol. Landing three of these scatters on the reels will activate the free spins round. Here you’ll be given 10 free spins with a guaranteed win on every third spin. The free spins can be retriggered up to 50 spins so this can turn out to be a pretty lucrative round.
Bonus round
The main attraction, however, is the Bust the Building bonus round. To activate the bonus you need to collect five stars at the top of the screen. You’ll be awarded one star for each straight you win. When the feature is activated then you can choose your monster and the buildings you wish to destroy. This will generate coins that you can collect. It’s not as easy as it sounds though as the city-dwellers will try to stop you using bombs and projectiles.
Larger audience
Although Rage to Riches has been around for a couple of years, it was previously exclusive to one particular casino.
