About Compare Casino Sites
Compare Casino Sites has been comparing UK-facing online casinos and slot sites since 2015. We are an independent comparison and review publisher run by a small, named editorial team. We test the operators we list, write our own reviews, and tell readers when something is sponsored. This page explains who we are, how we work and how to hold us to account.
Why we exist
The UK online gambling market has more than three hundred licensed casino brands. Most of them advertise hard, change their bonus terms often, and look more or less the same from the outside. Compare Casino Sites was launched to do the slow, unglamorous work for readers – reading the terms, testing the deposits and withdrawals, mapping the games and software providers, and ranking sites against criteria that actually matter to the player. We have stayed independently owned and small on purpose: it lets us pull a recommendation if an operator’s standards slip, without anyone above us in a corporate chart asking us not to.
Meet the editorial team
Every page on the Site is produced by a named member of our team. We do not publish anonymously, and we do not buy in syndicated “casino content”. The full team is below; their author archives link to everything they have written for us.
Becky Mosley – Editor-in-Chief
Becky has worked in the UK online gambling industry since 2008, which makes her one of the longest-serving voices in casino comparison. As editor-in-chief she signs off every casino and slot review before it goes live: she reads the bonus terms, plays the lobby, and decides whether the site clears our bar. Her specialist areas are UK Gambling Commission licensing, slot mechanics and the small print of welcome offers. She is a registered director of Take Marketing Limited, the company that owns Compare Casino Sites.

Matt co-founded the Play Marketing group and looks after everything technical at Compare Casino Sites: the comparison tables, the live offer feeds, the mobile experience, and the editorial back office that keeps every listing factually current. He spends most of his week making sure the site loads fast on a phone in a pub car park, and that what readers see today still matches what the operator is actually offering today.

Zena has been writing about online slots and casinos for more than fifteen years and runs the Compare Casino Sites news desk. How we review a casino
Every casino review on the Site goes through the same steps before it is published or refreshed:
- Licensing check. We confirm the operator holds a current Great Britain licence (or the relevant local licence we are reviewing it under) and we link to its public Gambling Commission record.
- Account opening. We open a real account using a UK address and complete the operator’s identity (KYC) flow as a normal player would.
- Deposit and play. We deposit using a common UK payment method, claim the welcome offer where there is one, and play through enough of the lobby to judge game variety, RTP transparency, and how the bonus actually behaves.
- Withdrawal. We request a withdrawal and time it. A long, friction-heavy or repeatedly-delayed withdrawal is the single biggest reason we drop a site.
- Customer support. We message support with a real query, in and out of office hours, and rate the response on speed, accuracy and tone.
- Terms and safer-gambling tools. We read the bonus T&Cs in full and check the operator’s deposit-limit, time-out, reality-check and self-exclusion tools, including its participation in GAMSTOP.
- Editorial sign-off. The review is read end-to-end by Becky before it goes live, and date-stamped so readers can see when it was last verified.
We re-check listings on a rolling schedule and update or unpublish anything that no longer matches what the operator is doing. If you spot something that looks out of date, please tell us – details below.
Our independence and how we make money
We are an affiliate website. When a reader follows one of our links to an operator and signs up, the operator may pay us a commission. The reader pays nothing extra and gets the same offer they would get going direct. The commission rate an operator pays us is not a factor in our editorial scoring; sponsored placements on the Site are clearly labelled.
