This unique mechanism ensures that we are actively contributing to addressing the challenges of problem gambling.”The introduction of the 1% gambling levy is viewed as a pivotal step in consolidating the industry’s efforts to safeguard its customers. The funds generated from the levy will be instrumental in bolstering various initiatives aimed at reducing the negative impacts of gambling. These initiatives range from research projects studying gambling behaviours to educational programs and treatment services for those affected by gambling-related harm.
