Betfred Remains Official Sponsor of the Professional Darts Corporation for the Next 3 Years

Betfred, one of the biggest sports betting operators in the UK has announced an extension of its sponsorship contract with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) for the next three years.

Betfred, one of the biggest sports betting operators in the UK has announced an extension of its sponsorship contract with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) for the next three years.The operator partnered with PDC in 2019 after sponsoring PDC’s Summer Spectacular and remain the official sponsor of the Blackpool competition for at least seven years.

“Brilliant Success”

The announcement comes ahead of the Betfred World Matchplay final taking place at the Winter Gardens between Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price.Fred Done, owner of Betfred said, “Our sponsorship of the Betfred World Matchplay has been a brilliant success for the past four years and I’m delighted that we’ll be working with the PDC until at least 2025.“The Betfred World Matchplay is one of my favourite sporting events each year and the 2022 event has been a wonderful championship. You can see from the superb standard of players and the brilliant, sell-out crowds in Blackpool just how this tournament means to everyone and we’re already looking forward to 2023 and beyond.”

Charity Events Donate to Mcmillan Cancer Research

A charity activity taking place at the Betfred World Matchplay will donate £35,428 to McMillan Cancer Support.For every 180 score during the 9-day competition, Betfred donated £50, a total of 367 180 scores for a £10,000 bonus to the charity.Also, competitors Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price, and Lisa Ashton, along with celebrities took part in a nine-dart challenge, every point scored a £1 was donated to charity, and they raised a total of £7,000.Matt Porter, Chief Executive of the PDC said, “This was a particularly memorable Betfred World Matchplay, and the incredible standard produced by our players is reflected in this amazing amount which will be donated to McMillan Cancer Research.”
