Summer Launch

Sources have revealed that Bet365 could launch their online sports betting services in New Jersey as soon as Summer 2019. Bet365 have been looking at securing a presence in the US after a deal with a local casino.Betting in the state of New Jersey had a federal ban on betting which was lifted in June last year, opening the doors for British operators to apply for licenses within the US market and New Jersey. Legal sports betting went live only a month after the SCOTUS ruling took down the federal ban legalising New Jersey to place wagers on sports betting.The laws of New Jersey state that any operator interested have to form collaboration with a local land based casino or racetrack in order to provide it’s sports betting to customers.

Land Based Casino Partnerships

To enable Bet365 to enter the regulated sports betting forum, they formed a partnership with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City. Bet365 can now run their own sports branded betting site, the date is not yet clarified at this time but is looking like Summer 2019.Bet365 formed a partnership last year with Empire Resorts with the view in the future to expand in to the New York sports betting market if the state becomes regulated.
