LeoVegas is a mobile first online gaming site that has, until recently, focused entirely on casino games. However, in May, the company launched their sportsbook product, LeoVegas Sport, and they have now announced the head of this product.
New head of LeoVegas sport
Naming Andreas Bardun as the new head of LeoVegas Sport will be seen as a very sensible decision by the industry as a whole, Bardun comes to LeoVegas fresh from his role as head of sportsbook for Betsson’s Nordicbet.com brand.Before taking on the head of sportsbook role at Betsson, Bardun had a variety of other senior roles including head of risk management, sportsbook manager pre-match, and head of global trading for sportsbook. 
Prior to joining Betsson, Bardun had worked for Expekt.com, helping the company to develop its US sports division.It is therefore fair to say that LeoVegas are getting the experience needed to head up a new product, even for a company with a reputation as solid as that of LeoVegas.
Mobile sportsbook
As with all of LeoVegas’ product, the main focus of LeoVegas Sport is on mobile users, at the launch of the sportsbook product in May, 2016, CEO Johan Syren said:“Mobiles are playing an ever growing role in the overall sport experience so earlier today we augmented our offering by launching LeoVegas Sport.”Syren went on to discuss the superior speed of the LeoVegas Sport product, saying:“A study conducted to test this found that LeoVegas Sport thumps the loading speed and transactional time of any other competitor by a significant advantage.
