Since Blueprint Gaming signed a deal with Big Time Gaming (BTG) back at the beginning of 2018 to allow them access to BTG’s MegaWays game engine, there’s been optimism about what to expect. However, thus far, the product has not matched up to the expectation like we’d all hoped, with Diamond Mine and Irish Riches both being fairly derivative in theme, and noticeably similar to BTG MegaWays games. However, Blueprint are having another go, and it seems a lot more confidence inducing, as it is a revamp of a popular title from the developer, Genie Jackpots, with many gameplay options borrowed from another much-loved slot from the developer, TED.
About the slot
With six reels and up to 117,459, the MegaWays attention immediately makes you stand up and take notice of what is on offer here, something the mechanic is known for. There’s nothing particularly original about the design here, but considering the well-worn theme of Genies and lamps, that’s to be expected. However, the execution of the design is impressive, a bright, cloud filled sky, an Arabic soundtrack, and a lam besides the reels that will occasion release its Genie.
Gameplay
The Power Spin feature is the first one to be aware of, triggering randomly the Genie will appear and grant one of four wishes, otherwise known as modifiers, including Bonus MegaWays and Wild MegaWays.Three to six scatters trigger the Cave of Wonders, offering between 10 and 20 spins. You enter a pick and click feature first, where you pick a lamp for a modifier for the feature, which could be Locking Wilds, Multiplier Wilds, and more. This is not the most exciting slot we’ve ever seen, but with the MegaWays addition, it’s certainly worth a try, and it is a definite step in the right direction for Blueprint’s MegaWays titles.
