Since the arrival on Monday of the latest Royal baby to Meghan and Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, odds are shortened as the Royal couple are expected to make a public appearance later on today to tell the world the baby’s name.Bookies are always keen to run odds on baby names for the Royal family, profits were good on the arrival of all three of Prince William and Kate’s children, we are sure it will be a similar story with the arrival of Baby Sussex.

Alexander Or Spencer

The most popular name to date is Alexander with a few of the big bookmakers running short odds on this choice of name, Skybet odds are 9/2, Betfred and Ladbrokes are offering odds at 4/1 , with Unibet, Paddy Power and Betfair odds at 7/2.Another name that would be quite fitting for the new baby boy would be Spencer, taking Harry’s late Mum, Princess Diana’s family name. The odds are only slightly behind Alexander, odds for Spencer are 6/1 at Bet365 and 4/1 with Ladbrokes and William Hill.

Tradition

Arthur was the most popular traditional name choice on Monday after the birth of Harry and Meghan’s baby boy, Ladbrokes were offering odds at 5/1, today the odds have changed to 6/1.Royal names are generally traditional, with past generations of Royal names being chosen, however, the British love to have a punt on some, shall we say, less traditional names, Donald (Trump) or Boris (Johnson) are two, which we are highly unlikely to see the baby being named, with odds set at 250/1 and 500/1 at most of the bookmakers to date.
