The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced more lockdown restrictions will be lifted to ease the burden on the UK economy during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hospitality Businesses To Remain Closed

Some retail outlets will now re-open on the 1st June, but Casinos and Bingo Halls and will remain in lockdown until the 4th July. Hospitality and leisure businesses will eventually reopen but will have new restrictions including partial opening, reduced hours and new measures to protect staff and customers from the virus.The latest announcement from the government will apply to England only as other parts of the UK including Scotland and Wales have chosen their own time frame on lifting the current lockdown restrictions. The Hippodrome Casino in London will be one of the first to open before casinos in Scotland and Wales.Other UK casino venues hoping to re-open are Rainbow Casino in Birmingham, Grosvenor Casino in Liverpool and Aspers Casino in Stratford.

What’s Opening On June 1st?

As of June 1st 2020, outdoor markets and car show rooms will be able to open once they have met Covid secure guidelines, with clothing outlets, bookshops, furniture shops, shoe shops and more to reopen their doors on June 15th.Casinos are Bingo halls are amongst a host of hospitality and leisure venues along with hairdressers, tattoo parlours, caravan parks, restaurants, bars and pubs to be the last to reopen, but if a second wave of the virus peaks, this date will no doubt be pushed back further.
