Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been sacked after their first two matches of the season ended in defeat. Manchester United lost 2-1 to Brighton, then an embarrassing 4-0 loss to Brentford last Saturday.

20/1 Odds on Sacking

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power paid out on Manchester United boss to getting the sack during the Premier League season. The odds came out at over 20/1 for him to become the first manager to be sacked.Despite reigning Man United sit at the bottom of the Premier League table after just two games, with a -5-goal difference resulting in the latest placement. This is the first time since August 1992 when the club ended up bottom of the league tableA spokesperson for Paddy Power said, “We’re not sure Sir Alex Ferguson will get the chance to share many post-match riojas with the latest Man Unite Gaffer, though we hope he has a spare crate or two if the results continue like this.“Though Paddy Power now convinced the 52-year -old will be lucky to make it to September in the Old Trafford hot-seat, so we paid out on all bets for him to be the first Premier League manager to go placed before 6:30 pm on Saturday, August 13th.”This is the first time that a Man United manager has lost the first two matches in charge since 1921 when John Chapman was in charge, the same thing happened and subsequently, the club was relegated.
