Natwest Bank To Launch Gamcare Gambling Consultations Inside UK Branches

Natwest Bank, one of UK’s leading retail and commercial banks have partnered with Gamcare to offer problem gamblers or people who fear they are becoming addicted to gambling, walk-in consultations within it’s UK branches.

Natwest Bank, one of UK’s leading retail and commercial banks have partnered with Gamcare to offer problem gamblers or people who fear they are becoming addicted to gambling, walk-in consultations within it’s UK branches.

Everyone Welcome

13 branches throughout the UK will be available for people to make appointments with Gamcare experts. Any person who feels they have a gambling problem can make an appointment whether you are a Natwest customer or not.The trial scheme will start in London and the South East, The Midlands and East of England. Currently Natwest have 700 branches throughout the UK, if the scheme proves successful, they will look at opening more walk-in consultations in further branches.

Safe Environment

Natwest are keen to help in the prevention of gambling related problems and offered up floor space in branches. People can make an appointment to speak to professionals about gambling related problems in a safe, risk-free environment. Bank officials said that some people may find visiting an addiction centre embarrassing, by offering consultations in an easily accessible, neutral environment may ease any fears vulnerable people may have.Gamcare’s Development Manager sees the position of banks on major high streets as easily accessible for people who may need help and support. He added, it will be far easier for the gambling charity to contact vulnerable people through the counselling locations across the UK.
