About the slot
This is a five-reel, 20 payline slot based around, yep, you guessed it, an angler. The Angler in question is called Otis, a giant, red-headed chap with some serious moustache and eyebrow game.Otis stands to the left-hand side of the reels, clutching his trusty fishing rod, while the symbols on the reels are Otis, a shark, a turtle, an octopus (the wild symbol), a pearl (scatter), a couple of fish, a bucket of fish (bonus scatter) and the usual card symbols playing filler for the lower value symbols.
Gameplay
There’s a couple of features of note here. The first is the Time to Fish feature, which is triggered by landing three bonus scatter symbols anywhere on the first three reels.You will now enter a pick and click game, where you select Reel or Pull to either reel or pull in fish for cash prizes. The round ends when you have either caught or missed three fish.Then there’s the free spins feature. Land three pearl scatter symbols on the last three reels, and you’ll earn some free spins. If the octopus wild symbol lands on the reels, he’ll stick in place for the duration of the feature, which can be re-triggered if you land three more scatters.A simple game with a simple theme, but there is something genuinely quite charming about The Angler.
