It’s been a busy few weeks for Paddy Power after repeatedly being in the spotlight due to their shirt sponsorship ‘Hoax’ with Huddersfield Town FC.

Save Our Shirt Campaign

After becoming the official shirt sponsor for Huddersfield FC, the new kit was revealed with a ‘sash style’ brand logo emblazoned diagonally across the new 2019/20 kit. Fans were in uproar at the new kit, comparing it to something you would wear at a hen do or beauty pageant, it turned out to be a ‘prank’. Paddy Power were launching their latest ‘Save Our Shirt’ campaign, choosing not to advertise their brand logo on the new kit, giving the fans of the club their ‘Scared’ shirt back.Paddy Power believe it’s important the a club retains it shirt and decided to launch the campaign to have no brand advertising whatsoever on the new kits. They hope in the future other brands will take the same action and ‘give back’ the shirt to fans.

Motherwell FC Sponsorship

Paddy Power have now revealed their latest sponsorship deal with Motherwell FC, they will join the English club in the next step in the ‘Save Our Shirt’ campaign. Being praised as the biggest deal in the clubs history, it will be a “massive boost’ for the club. Both home and away kits will not feature any brand logo for the rest of the season.Motherwell Chairman Jim McMahon said,“ We’re delighted to be associated with paddy Power’s save our shirt campaign. This partnership represents our biggest shirt sponsorship in history, and the chance to team up with a renowned brand. It’s a fantastic achievement by our commercial team to get them on board.“ Paddy Power are innovative and forward thinking, and it’s a mark of how our fan-owned club is perceived in the world that we are able to attract such high-calibre partner.“ We thank them for their support and look forward to working with them over the course of the season,”In a statement Paddy Power have said they are delighted the ‘The Well’ are joining in with their new campaign, and how impressed have been with the fact they have kept it quiet in light of all the recent coverage of the Huddersfield Town kit.
