With the news that Theresa May who is to resign as Prime Minister on the 7th June, speculation is rife as to who will succeed as the new British Prime Minister?Anything Brexit related seems like fair game to bet on at the moment. It may seem inappropriate to exploit the plight of the British people and for others it adds humour to an ever-decreasing chain of spiralling events surrounding said Brexit! The biggest question since Mrs May resigned is who will take over the helm as Prime Minister and try their luck at uniting the government, which at present is in a state of disarray.
Boris Johnson?
Since her resignation, ten members of Theresa May’s cabinet have stepped up in announcing their commitment to becoming the next Prime Minister. Topping the polls to date is Boris Johnson, he looks like the favourite amongst punters with odds at 13/8.Dominic Raab odds 4/1, Michael Gove odds 5/1 with Andrea Leadsham odds being 8/1, all three candidates are a more sane option to run the country, rather than the erratic Boris but stranger things have happened, remember Donald Trump is the US President!
Jeremy Corbin?
It looks like the craziness of the political leader board doesn’t stop there, as not only Conservative candidates are up for the top spot as Prime Minister. Jeremy Corbin is on the betting boards with odds at of 50/1. It’s ironic really as the Labour leader can’t make up his mind where his loyalties lie, being indecisive about supporting Brexit or to stay in the EU, opting for a second referendum, this makes his job easier, by relying on the public to make the decision.
