Swedish developer and provider of gaming software and content, NetEnt, has announced that Therese Hillman will be the new CFO of the company, starting in January, 2017.Hillman will take the place of Maria Hedengren, who announced that she would be leaving the position earlier this year.
Hillman’s history
Therese Hillman has spent the past five years as the CEO of Gymgrossisten Sweden AB, an ecommerce nutrition company, she had previously held the roles of CFO and COO at the same company.As CFO, she was fully in charge of the company’s Finance and Accounting Department, experience and a skill set that she will bring to her new role at NetEnt.Ms Hillman also has direct iGaming experience, having been on the board of Unibet Group plc since 2015, she is also a member of the company’s audit committee.Per Eriksson, CEO of NetEnt, said of the appointment:“I’m very pleased to welcome Therese Hillman to NetEnt. Her experience as CFO and CEO in a digital growth company will make her a strong contribution to the senior management team at NetEnt”.

Ms Hedengren held the role of CFO at NetEnt for the past five years, before announcing in June that she would be leaving the post.According to a press release from NetEnt at the time of Ms Hedengren’s announcement, she had chosen to leave the company in order to take on the same role in another company.Ms Hillman joins NetEnt at an exciting time, as 2016 has been a huge year for the company, their 20th in the business, as proven by operating profit in the second quarter of 2016, being an increase of over 31% on the same period in the previous year, which had also been very successful!
