Mr Green, a popular brand of the online gambling group MRG have urgently requested UK affiliates to remove all banners and advertising materials for it’s online casino and live casino from websites and social media platforms.
‘Recent Changes In Compliance’
Issued in a statement distributed to all it’s UK affiliates yesterday, the reason behind the urgent request was largely due to “ recent changes in compliance”.All promoters of Mr Green UK casino and live casino products must remove all materials which promote these products in the UK, including banners, links, reviews and social media posts which target UK facing players. The request did state UK affiliates can continue to promote its Sports Book promotion. The statement said,“ We have replaced all Casino and Live Casino banners with Sportsbook banners. We kindly ask that if you see any banners of these kinds still on your site, that you let your account manager know. “ We are working hard to resolve this issue and will be sure to let you know once you are able to promote Mr Green Casinos and Live Casino again.”
UK Market Change
It’s unclear at the moment as to the reasons behind the decision, but the news follows hot on the heels of the closure of its sportsbook in Germany last month. MRG commented on its international performance figures as “mixed” in its 2020 trading statement.Mr Green is amongst a number of operators to leave the UK market due to changes by the regulator in the way they service players and product advertising. Last Month, LeoVegas brand Royal Panda left the UK market after years of success working within the industry, they are to shift their focus on other jurisdictions outside of the UK.
