In an industry where increasing levels of importance is put on not taking advantage of those suffering from addiction and other vulnerable groups, christening a site with a name that combines the words ‘stay’ and ‘bet‘ may seem like an odd decision. However, it is not my job to make such rulings, and clearly it’s considered okay by the people who do have that job, so let’s get into the review.
Launched in 2016, Staybet is one of many sites released in the last year or two vying for the attention of the ever-increasing online casino loving audience.
Operated by the Stay Gaming Group, Staybet has to jostle for position with all of its competitors, and in order to best accomplish that, the site needs content that will impress, a design concept that will entice, and a combination of variety and originality to ensure that players know that this is the only choice if they want all of their needs catered for.
That’s a lot to do, especially within your first year, but this is a highly competitive industry, and it’s the only option.
So, does Staybet succeed in its mission to stand out? Or is this site destined for the middle of the pack like so many bright, young things before it?
Design and theme
Staybet doesn’t have a design concept as such, which is not necessarily a bad thing, and certainly not in this case, where the design sits in the background, and allows the games and promotions to speak for themselves.
That isn’t to say there isn’t artwork or design touches, there’s just not a theme running through it, unless that theme is casino play, which, if you think about it, is by far the most logical concept for an online casino site to utilise.
There’s a lot of blue going on in the colour scheme here, with the thumbnails for popular games supplying most of the colour, and images from these games making up a percentage of the background design as well.
The only downside to the design at Staybet is the logo, which is gold, which in itself isn’t the best mix with the shade of blue chosen, but the large shimmering jewel behind the ‘S’ takes it to far lower depths. The logo here is so bad, that despite the overall design of the site being excellent, I still can’t bring myself to look at it for too long.
Titles at Staybet come from a good mix of well-known and indie developers, including 1X2gaming, BetSoft, Casino Technology, Evolution, Genii, Leander Games, Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, NYX Gaming, Play'n GO, and Tain.
The giants of the industry in that list means that you can rest assured that the much-hyped new releases and old favourites will all be here to be found, with the lesser known names adding an extra dimension, with titles you may not have discovered yet. Most players will find something new to love at Staybet.
If you’re into slot games, then you’ll find yourself losing hours to searching through all the options that are available here, from the new to the classic. However, it isn’t only slot fans that are treated well here, table and card game lovers will adore the live casino, and a plethora of sports betting options add an extra level to Staybet that many other sites do not offer.
The only negative there is about Staybet is the logo, which is horrific, but if you can look past that, you will find one of the best new online casino sites, Staybet is well worth checking out if you’re after somewhere else to play.
