Rich Ride is an online casino on the Nektan network that arrived at the end of 2017. Now, at this point it’s fairly well known that Nektan release a lot of sites, and they look intent to keep doing so.
Each new casino that is added to the network tends to be pretty similar in terms of both layout and content, so it is often the theme that is the only thing that sets the casino apart.
That means that Rich Ride would need an exciting and unique concept to set it apart, not only from its network brethren, but also from the host of competitors that exist in the iGaming world, unfortunately, the opposite happens.
From the second you arrive at Rich Ride you know you’re at a Nektan site, that’s nothing new on this network, but you also have the instant impression that you probably aren’t at a good one!
Rich Ride feels like a cliché at every turn, it is fairer to say that this online casino could’ve been released back in 1998, and it probably would’ve been described as “a bit derivative”.
At this point, “a bit” doesn’t cut it anymore, in an industry that thrives on originality, Rich Ride has done the opposite, and done it badly.
Design and theme
It is probably no surprise for you to hear that the colour scheme at Rich Ride is black and gold, the go to colour scheme of the online casino that want to appeal to the high rollers and big spenders.
Of course, it takes a lot more than that these days, but that doesn’t seemed to have stopped Rich Ride from putting the minimal level of effort in here.
Affluence and decadence are understandable concepts for an online casino, and themes that can prove immensely popular, but players expect their casinos to have tried, and like most sites on the Nektan network, Rich Ride just doesn’t feel like it has.
If you’ve seen a Nektan site before, you know how the layout looks here, all that is different is the logo (which is juts the words with a crown over the top, because why try?) and one image in the banner, which shows two awkward looking models standing in (well, photoshopped into) a luxurious casino lobby complete with gold everything and marble walls.
Even by Nektan’s admittedly low standards, this is about as lazy an attempt at design as we’ve ever seen at an online casino, which is depressing.
Nektan has something of a Jekyll and Hyde sensation at their sites when it comes to the difference between the style, tone, and general effort, and the games on offer.
While every other aspect of Rich Ride is as disappointing as any other Nektan casino (more in many cases) the games are perhaps even more impressive here than they are at most casinos on the network.
With titles coming from the likes of 1X2 Network, Aristocrat Gaming, Big Time Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, Core Gaming, edict egaming, ELK Studios, Evolution, Extreme Live Gaming, Felt, Gamevy, IGT, IWG, Microgaming, Nektan, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, Realistic Games, SG Digital, and SG Gaming, there’s an immense amount on offer here.
There’s slots in various forms including classic and jackpot variety, while table and card games are available as games and in the impressive live casino. Instant win fans will also be happy by the presence of scratchcards and more quick win titles.
The big question to be asked here is this, does the games collection make up for Rich Ride’s weaknesses? The answer to that is a tough one, but if you’re a player who looks for games above all else, then it might just.
