There’s nothing particularly new or special about a new slot based on Irish Luck, but when that slot comes from the team of Just For The Win (JFTW) and Microgaming, it makes us pay a little more attention. The two developers have teamed up multiple times, with varying results, so Rainbrew could be something different from the plethora of leprechaun focused slots we’ve seen over the years, or it could just be more of the same.
About the slot
A five reel, 243 ways to win slot playable from 10 to £100 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, Rainbrew is, on the surface at least, nothing new.Set in a brewery operated by a leprechaun, as the title suggests, pipes, barrels, and leprechauns appear as symbols on the reels, the highest of which will pay out a mediocre at best 8x your bet for five on a payline.Lower values are represented by themed objects as opposed to the traditional playing card symbols which is nice, but past that there’s very little to speak of in terms of design here.
Gameplay
Rainbrew revolves around the Sidewinder feature, which triggers from blue or green wilds which trigger the top and bottom horizontal reels respectively. This increases the ways to win to 576 for one or 1,125 if you manage to trigger both horizontal reels simultaneously. This is a fun feature and one that’s worthy of attention, but not enough to save the game, nor is the free spins feature, which offers 10 spins and up to 2,720x your bet for five on a payline. The gameplay here is good fun, and if there was anything even close to unique about the game outside from the one original feature, it could be very good, but there isn’t, so it’s not.
