For around a decade, Wazdan have been slowly and fairly quietly building a reputation as one of the most talented iGaming software developers around.Much of this reputation has come from new releases, but Wazdan have gone a new way with one of their newest casino games, which is in fact an old one.Black Hawk Deluxe is a revamp of Black Hawk, which is one of the first Wazdan games to be released, but it’s had a revamp for the modern world, is that enough though?
About the slot
With four reels and 54 paylines (27, both ways), Black Hawk Deluxe is playable from 10p to £10 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. While the slot is essentially the same as its predecessor, effort has clearly gone in to creating crisp, up to date graphics, and those efforts have certainly paid off. With a spooky castle standing in the background, and appearing on the reels, treasure chests, dungeons, and skeletons also appear as symbols. This is a good looking slot, and while the concept is not necessarily the most unique, the execution of it from Wazdan is perfect.
Gameplay
While the original Black Hawk had no special features beside the wild symbol, which appears regularly and will substitute for all other symbols to help with winning combinations, Wazdan haven’t added as much as you may assume here.In fact, all that has been added is a gamble feature that allows you to play double or quits on any wins. While the wild symbols do add regular chances to pick up wins, the lack of extra features works against this slot, which is a shame.Visually, Black Hawk Deluxe is an excellent looking slot, but the lack of gameplay makes it feel a little too outdated.
