With gambling in the state of New Jersey now legalised, steps have been taken to protect problem gamblers from the offset. The NJ Council Of Compulsive Gambling are looking at expanding the awareness of gambling related problems, William Hill’s US team have donated $50,000 to help with the cause.
‘Nobody Harmed’
William Hill have been ambassadors in protecting gamblers from falling in to the trap and launched their ‘Nobody Harmed’ campaign in the UK, this is now being rolled out further afield, making awareness of problem gambling prominent in NJ.The funding from William Hill US will be used to make an educational video promoting the harm problem gambling can cause, with the directive of steering people into getting professional help and support.Joe Asher, CEO at William Hill said, “ We are proud to partner with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey on bringing attention to this extremely important issue.”

The donation has played a huge part in the production of the video, which specifically targets family. Help and support will be available 24/7, with information as to where to get help, and treatment for gambling related problems.It has been confirmed the funds were donated from a settlement from Fanduel to William Hill US after it was reported they had infringed copyright on William Hills New Jersey ‘ How To Bet Guide’.
