Christmas Day is meant to be a magical time for all, but this wasn’t the case for Genting Casino in Salford, Manchester, thieves broke in on Christmas Day and stole £60,000 worth of gambling chips.

Genting Casino on Cromwell Road is a relatively small Casino within the Genting chain offering American Roulette, Multi win Poker and Blackjack. The branch is open 24/7 with the exception of bank holidays, and Christmas day.It appears the burglars broke in through a wall at the back and stole the chips, nothing else seems to have been taken at this point. It’s not known how many individuals were involved in the robbery but evidence points to up to seven according to Manchester Evening News.The GMP spokesperson said, there is no information at the moment to identify the culprits, authorities have not yet revealed if there is any CCTV footage or evidence as to who has been involved.The Casino re-opened on the 26th but customers said no live games were available, the casino were waiting for chips to arrive before resuming live casino play.
