BetSoft Gaming has announced that it has designed, and is ready to release a new platform, one through which all its existing and future HTML5 content will be produced.Going by the name of Shift™, the platform has been designed with the intention of giving BetSoft a reliable platform to answer the issues and questions brought up by technological advancements over recent years.
It started with a Flash
The decision to create and launch Shift™ came as a result of Adobe announcing that they will be abandoning their Flash Player, something that most casino software developers and providers have made frequent use of over the last few years. This chance meant that BetSoft would soon be left with a problem, and they have pre-empted this problem and resolved it with the creation of Shift™.This is a clear sign that BetSoft have chosen to take control of their situation, as many may have expected them to team up with another party to resolve the issues brought about by the disposal of Flash Player.
Reactions
Mark McKeown, BetSoft’s VP of Sales and Marketing, is clearly very proud of the new platform, saying:“Our new Shift™ platform represents the next step in iGaming evolution, and is a tremendous milestone for the both the Company and the industry…“While HTML5 has been a standard for some time, it is only just now that the technology and hardware have matured enough to allow for the standards of quality and visual excellence for which BetSoft games are known. We are extremely proud to introduce Shift™ as a comprehensive solution for future game development.”With the suggestion also being made that Shift™ will be not only a replacement, but an improvement on Flash Player, there is a lot of excitement to see if that is the case!
