NetEnt has recently expanded its presence to Romania. The Swedish developer of online casino games and casino products has just completed the last stages of a carefully orchestrated integration process, and is now live across Romania. Several online casino providers holding a license for offering gambling services are now offering NetEnt products to their customers.
Romanian Licence
It was just three months ago, in May 2016, that NetEnt was awarded a licence to distribute their products for use by Romanian players. Enrico Bradamante is Managing Director of NetEnt Malta, and is responsible for European market operations. Bradamante is delighted about the move to Romania, and has said that this is part of an overall plan to expand on a global basis.
Flexible regulations
The European Commission has encouraged flexible regulations regarding gambling, and this has been bolstered by increasing demand for more choice within the industry. Romania is one of many countries that has decided to adopt these flexible gambling frameworks, with the aim of encouraging providers from all over the world to offer their services to Romanian customers. The gambling authorities have awarded licences to several organisations from Europe and around the world in recent times. As well as NetEnt, other iGaming providers to have joined the Romanian market include: 888 Holdings, NYX Gaming Group, Evolution Gaming, Poker Stars, SBTech, and Yggdrasil Gaming.
Expansion
All the online gaming organisations that have begun to offer their products in Romania have a common goal. The move to Romania is just one strand of a wide ranging strategy to expand their presence throughout Europe and the rest of the globe. IGaming is very much a global market, and the creators of these products must expand alongside their competitors if they are to continue to thrive. It has been a busy time for NetEnt recently. As well as entering Romania, they have also introduced the brand new NetEnt Live Mobile – which allows players to have the online casino experience via their mobile phones.
