GVC, owners of Ladbrokes and Coral brands have announced they are to reopen all Ladbrokes and Coral betting outlets within the UK on June 15th after the easing of lockdown rules by the UK government.
New Safety Guidelines
All Ladbrokes and Coral shops were forced to close their doors to the public in March after the UK entered lockdown with the Covid-19 pandemic. The government announced all non-essential shops would be allowed to reopen their doors on the 15th June as long as all safety guidelines are in place to protect staff and customers.GVC have previously set out advanced plans with the resumption of shops reopening. Shops will be cleaned thoroughly before opening, making sure all screens, bet stations and gaming machines are protected. Arrows will be clearly marked on floors with cashier desks protected by a screen and signage throughout shops for customers to follow the new guidelines.
Customer Limits
Hand sanitisers, hand wash and cleaning products will also be provided. PPE will be available to staff with strict cleaning routines rolled out in all staff, and customer areas. Depending on the size of the shop, reducing the amount of customers at one time and entry and exit measures safely in place. Staff will be encouraged to monitor its customer gambling habits and wellbeing, with more interaction with customers and regular checks self-exclusion lists.GVC are one of the biggest companies owning a string of high street betting outlets and online sports betting and casino sites.
