Gaming giant Bet365 is enjoying another year of bumper profits in 2015. The company has announced a 15% rise in revenues and a 27% rise in operating profits in 2015 compared to last year. This brings Bet365’s yearly revenue to over £1.47billion and the firm’s operating profit to £406million this year.
High Performance From Sportbook
Unsurprisingly, the company’s main product, Sportsbook, performed best in terms of increasing value. However, large improvements were also made through bingo and poker. Bet365 has remained tight-lipped about how well the casino arm of the company has been doing, but if these figures are anything to go by then we can be sure it’s at least holding its own.Bosses at the online gaming company admitted that betting on the FIFA 2014 World Cup tournament contributed to the surge in wagers over the twelve-month period. However, this alone does not account for such a huge increase in profits.
Mobile Platforms
Much of the increase in profits is being put down to mobile platforms being more widely available and used by players. Mobile Sportsbook betting had the greatest increase, with around 60% more revenue being generated this year. Large increases were noted in both the amount wagered and revenue growth. Meanwhile mobile bingo also received a boost in 2015 with a 44% rise in revenues from the previous year. On top of that mobile poker contributed to the company’s overall increase in profits as 47% of new players to Bet365 were there to play poker on a mobile device.
