The Health Lottery
The Health Lottery Review
The Health Lottery is now closed
The chances are, if you live in the UK at least, you’ve heard of the Health Lottery, but a surprising amount of people know very little about it. Somewhat living I the shadow of the substantially larger National Lottery, the Health Lottery is often an afterthought.
However, with huge jackpots up for grabs, and a much higher chance of winning than in the National Lottery, the Health Lottery site is one that’s worthy of your attention.
Design and theme
Unlike online casinos and bingo sites, where design is often more important than anything else, the Health Lottery site doesn’t focus as much on artwork as it does branding and information, and for the site that it is, that makes total sense.
The blue and white colour scheme with the colourful logo and instantly recognisable to many at this point, and the choice to design the entire site around this colour scheme was certainly a wise one.
With the next draw and date taking pride of place at the front of the page, underneath the banner that advertises promotions and the QuickWin lottery game, you will always know when the next chance to win the jackpot will be.
You will also find the draw results from the last few days on the homepage, as well as the ability to check results going much further back if you have an older ticket you want to check.
Lottery games
The Health Lottery site does not only offer lottery games, but these are, obviously, the centrepiece of the site, and the main focus of it.
If you are not aware of how the Health Lottery works, it is very similar to the National Lottery, or Lotto as it is now known, except that you are 21 times more likely to win here than with Lotto.
Obviously, this is a much smaller jackpot, made up of 80% of the total brought in by ticket sales, it normally sits at around £100,000, but you only have to match five numbers to get that, instead of six. That’s no small amount of money though, and with higher chances of a jackpot win, many consider it more than worth the £1 ticket cost.
The other important thing to know here is that the 20% of the ticket money that does not go into the jackpot fund, goes to help health related charity causes. The Health Lottery is not just a name, the money raised here genuinely goes to help the health sector in the UK, so not only do you have a chance to win £100,000, you are also helping make a difference in the world.
Then there’s the Quickwin game, which has a smaller jackpot, but runs every three minutes!
Other games
As stated, it isn’t only lottery games that are on offer here, there’s a host of games under the Games tab (unsurprisingly) that consist of a few slots, but mainly scratchcards and arcade games like a Duck Hunt style title.
Something that The Health Lottery site offers in abundance is bingo, click the Bingo tab and you’ll be taken to the Health Bingo site, where a smorgasbord of bingo games and a host more slots will await you.
Again, money spent here is, in part, put towards charitable causes so you can always feel like you’re doing good for the world while you play.
The Health Lottery itself may not have the excitement and multi-million-pound jackpots of Lotto, but with higher chances to win, and a site that offers a myriad of other gaming options as well as multiple lottery games, it’s still worth a look.
