Mr Star Casino
Mr Star Casino Review
Mr Star Casino is now closed
When a new site has joined the market in the last few years, there are some expectations that players will make about them. The first and largest of these expectations is that a new online casino will put the work in to ensure it stands out, giving the hugely competitive nature of the online casino world.
However, every occasionally, a site arrives that feels like it has no idea that this is true, and just assumed that as online casinos were popular it would be able to find success just because people like playing casino games. One such site is Mr Star Casino, which is a truly disappointing casino in almost every way.
Feeling like it was thrown together using the lowest level online casino template, without adding any heart, and passion, or anything different at all in terms of style or content, this feels like an online casino that a ten-year-old would create, and even they’d probably make a few changes to improve it before they were done.
That isn’t to say there is nothing positive to say about Mr Star, but anything this site does have that is good, is done far better in a variety of other places.
Design and theme
The word ‘design’ looks like a strong one to use here, and ‘theme’ just feels ridiculous, because it is clear that absolutely no time was put into the creation of this site from an aesthetic perspective, and nothing has been done to fix that in the last two years either.
The background that depicts casino chips on a casino able is so derivative that it’s almost laughable, the logo falls into a similar trap, the colour behind that logo is a truly horrific shade of brown, the banners are okay, but only because they use the artwork from the games available at the site instead of the designers themselves having done anything.
That’s not even the worst of it though. When you get to the homepage, you’ll find a few popular games available through thumbnails, not many, certainly not enough, but some, and some other information. The background behind these is white, but not white in a way that suggests it was intended to be, these are white in a way that suggests that somebody forgot to colour them in.
In conclusion, everything about how this site looks is dismal.
Games
With such an atrocious attempt at a design theme, it is necessary for Mr Star Casino to offer a range of excellent games from a decent number of developers, as it is, you get Aberrant, Microgaming, NetEnt, and Play'n GO.
These are undoubtedly names associated with the highest quality, but there simply isn’t enough of them to make this site competitive, even if it didn’t look like a poor first draft.
One thing that stands out a bit here, is the presence of an array of bingo rooms, bingo is something that few online casino operators provide, unfortunately, enough do, so it isn’t enough.
Outside of that, the slots collection includes a few big hitters and newer releases, like Burning Desire, Cloud Quest, and Fairytale Legends: Hansel & Gretel, and Aberrant slots like Puppy Paws and Mucho Moolah are tough to find elsewhere, but again, it isn’t close to enough.
Mr Star Casino could be held up as an example to the developers of new sites of all the wrong things to do when creating a new online casino, it is simply awful in every possible way, to the extent that it is difficult to believe it was ever created, and harder still to fathom why nobody questioned how bad it was during production.
