The online casino world is so insanely competitive that the majority of sites have to put their absolute all into content, promotions, design, and a ton of other aspects just to have a chance of even making the smallest impact amongst the host of new and established sites that are battling it out for superiority in the iGaming world.

That makes it almost impressive that Nektan have managed to maintain a strong presence and a decent player base despite essentially having phoned it in for the last few years.

Every Nektan site looks pretty much the same, and is more or less identical in terms of content, so the fact that they have managed to survive, let along succeed, is genuinely surprising.

Released in 2016, Cloud Casino actually looks a little different to the average Nektan site, and one’s kneejerk reaction is to commend that, but that’s the cleverness of Nektan. Just looking different from every other site on the network makes you tempted to assume it’s impressive, but when you consider it, that’s the least one should expect, and, coincidentally, it’s also the most effort that has gone into Cloud Casino.

Another dull and dreary online casino from a network which is looking increasingly out of its depth as the industry evolves, Cloud Casino is nothing to get excited about.

Design and theme

The Cloud Casino logo is a perfect demonstration of the lack of care and effort that has gone into the creation of this site. Looking like it was put together using WordArt, although one could suggest some additional work went in on Microsoft Paint if one was feeling generous.

The rest of the site is equally unimpressive, it could be claimed that the intention here was to create something subtle and minimalist, but the more likely truth is that the design is simply lazy, and that laziness can be felt as soon as the site is visited.

A blue and yellow colour scheme, with gradient shades of blue attempting (and totally failing) to bring a little variety and style to the occasion, the middle of the site behind the thumbnails allowing instant access to popular games is white, and not in a “we did this intentional to put the games in focus” way, more in a 2we couldn’t be bothered to finish colouring in the site because even pressing the fill button felt like too much work” way,

Navigation is easy enough, which is literally the least one would expect, but that’s about the only positive to be found here.

Games

As with every single other Nektan site, the selection of games here is impressive enough as long as you haven’t visited any other site on the network, but if you have, it’s just the same, again.
