Cheeky Riches Review

Cheeky Riches is a relatively new online casino, having arrived on the scene in September 2017.

This site did not arrive alone however, as Cheeky Riches is a site on the Nektan network, and a barrage of sites are unleashed on the iGaming world pretty much every month on that network.

Nektan have become something of a parody of themselves over time, creating sites that are essentially clones of each other, changing the name and a small amount of the design work on a layout, filling it with exactly the same content as the last, and calling it a new online casino.

Design and theme

If you thought that the word Cheeky being in the title of this site didn’t necessarily mean there’d be a monkey involved in the design, you haven’t had enough experience of the painting-by-numbers attitude that Nektan take to site creation.

A purple and gold colour scheme, which manages to simultaneously look like multiple other sites, and worse than all of them, does nothing to bring this site to life.

As is the Nektan way the attention towards the artwork dissipates very quickly once you scroll down the page, with the banner at the top of the homepage being about the only bit of actual design that you’ll see.

Past that, there is a plain background behind the thumbnails allowing quick access to games, which can be effective, but is not in this case, instead just making it feel like the designers just gave up once they’d completed the first fifth of the page and just pressed ‘fill’ for the rest.

Even by the low standards of Nektan sites, Cheeky Riches has a pretty appalling design, which is almost an accomplishment when you think of how far down the bar has been set.

Gameplay

While doing the limbo under the expected disappointment level of a Nektan site in terms of design, Cheeky Riches does a better job of keeping up when it comes to the games on offer.
