SlotsUK Review
SlotsUK is now closed
ProgressPlay have been responsible for a small number of online casinos that have found a decent level of popularity amongst players, these have included Mr Vegas, Oreels, Silver Fox Casino, and Spin Fiesta.
However, this operator has also released numerous sites that have not been received so well, making this a hit and miss operator that definitely leans more towards the miss side.
That being said, it’s always worth paying attention when a new ProgressPlay site is released, just in case it is another example of them getting it right.
That being said, on first glance, Slots UK doesn’t exactly fill one with confidence. Another site based in some way on the UK, which has not gone consistently well for others, ProgressPlay seems unaware of this theme once you get past the title.
Can Slots UK follow in the footsteps of the few brethren that came before it, and find its way up the iGaming ladder, or is this another ProgressPlay site destined for mediocrity at best?
Design and theme
When an online casino site has the letters UK or GB in its title, we normally know what to expect, some kind of red, white, and blue colour scheme, probably a bulldog, and definitely a few famous London landmarks.
It is, therefore, always nice when a site takes a different approach, or at least it would be, if that different approach was an approach at all.
Understanding that UK is just a geographical based title and not a theme, there isn’t anything that appears to have been utilised as a design concept here, apart from the fact that someone really enjoys a dark blue and orange colour scheme.
That’s pretty much all you get here, just those two colours, and then nothing else.
That doesn’t make Slots UK unattractive though, in fact, it is likely to appeal to those who appreciate a no frills approach.
Navigation is simple and effective, with a myriads of thumbnails on the homepage ensuring a huge number of games are one click away the second you arrive and login to the site.
Not for everyone, perhaps, but Slots UK certainly has its audience, aesthetically at least.
Games
Over the years, ProgressPlay have worked hard to build as many relationships and partnerships as they can with software developers, and that shows with the games on offer here.
Titles coming from 1x2 Gaming, Bet Digital, Blueprint Gaming, GET, ELK Studios, Evolution, Extreme Live Gaming, Iron Dog Studios, Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen, Quickspin, Red Tiger Gaming, Yggdrasil, and many more means there is a lot of range here in terms of styles and themes of games.
Slots are the main focus, as the name suggests, but they are not all you’ll find here, with a range of table and card games, including live dealer options, also available.
However, there are only a few over 400 games here, which is a weird use of the word ‘only’, but in comparison to the giants of the industry, this number doesn’t come close, which is odd, because ProgressPlay have enough partners to be able to offer a wider range.
Whatever the reason, the selection of games that is here is likely to be more than enough for the average hobbyist, and the simple design concept makes all of those games easy to find.
