In the world of online casino sites where many companies try to release as many different brands as possible to try and capitalise on the popularity of the industry, and often spread themselves too thin as a result, it is rare to find a site that is the only online casino on its network, but that’s exactly what Midaur Casino is, as the only casino brand provided by Infinity Gaming Solutions (which is a pleasant irony when you consider the name).
This is usually a good sign, because it means that all the effort possible has gone into the creation of this one site, and, as a result, one would assume that there’s a lot of exciting options available at the Midaur site.
Of course, we’ve all jumped to these conclusions and been burnt in the past, so how much does Midaur live up to its potential?
Since opening its doors back towards the beginning of 2017, Midaur, like other sites released around the same time, has seen an influx of excellent sites (and even more dreadful ones) follow in its footsteps, meaning this site doesn’t only have to battle with those that came before, the more established sites, but also those that came after it.
At this point, it’s easy to disappear into the background if you don’t have enough to really impress players, does Midaur have what it takes?
Design and theme
If you are looking to create an online casino site with a unique look and style, then rule number one is don’t use black and gold as a colour scheme, a rule that Midaur has broken.
It isn’t that this is an unattractive colour scheme, it can (and in the case of Midaur, does) look classy, elegant, and stylish. The problem is, so many other online casino sites have used the same colours that it just feels derivative at this point, and no amount of gold painted models in the banner will change that.
The logo is attractive enough, and the site itself is put together nicely, with pleasant images and a sleek and sophisticated look, but its hard not to just list all the sites that it reminds one of, because all this has been done before, and it’s been done numerous times at that.
The layout allows for simple navigation, the site looks good, if it had a different colour scheme and some slightly more original design touches, this would be a great looking site. But it doesn’t, so it isn’t.
What Midaur lacks in original design touches, it more than makes up for with an impressive selection of top quality games that come from a list of software developers that includes (but is not limited to) 1X2 Network, Ainsworth, Big Time Gaming, Casino Technology, Concept Gaming, Core Gaming, ELK Studios, Extreme Live Gaming, Gamevy, Leander Games, Lightning Box Games, Nektan, NextGen Gaming, and NYX Gaming.
Yes, there are some names missing from the list, most notably Microgaming and NetEnt, but games from these developers are available at most sites, and as the majority of online casino players have accounts at more than one casino, a range of over 500 games that often differ from the norm is very tempting, and provides a great deal of gaming options for even the pickiest of players.
That isn’t to say the big names shouldn’t be added, because if they were, and some tweaks were made to the design, Midaur could be the new one-stop shop for all your online casino games, it’s only a small jump to great, but until the changes are made, Midaur will remain a very good online casino.
