When it comes to naming an online betting site of any kind, there are many different schools of thought, and they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
The Lotter appears to have gone with one of the simplest, “sometimes people try and search for lottery but accidentally miss the ‘y’ off the end, what if that took them to us?”
There’s certainly a logic to this, but one that swiftly backfires when a search for ‘The Lotter’ on any search engine will assume a typo and return results on ‘The Lottery’ instead.
Of course, this may not have been the logic here, maybe there us a different reason why The Lotter is called The Lotter, either way, it’s harder to find than it probably wants to be (searching the two words without a space between them alleviates the issue for most search engines, in case you were curious).
Regardless of its title, The Lotter is one of many online betting sites that focuses on lotteries from around the world, giving players the chance to play lotteries outside of their jurisdiction.
It’s a common practice at this point, and the industry has got very competitive, so, what does The Lotter offer to ensure it can stand out from its competition?
Design and theme
It is difficult to work out which site instigated the rule that all lottery betting sites must be dull and uninspiring in terms of design, but somebody did, because every site of this ilk for the last few years has taken the similar approach of a white background with blocks of colour spattered around the site, advertising various lotteries available to play at The Lotter.
